Physalis
The cultivation of physalis is starting to gain importance in Ecuador. The "Peruvian groundcherry" is mainly produced by small producers (< 5 hectares) in the north of the country. Rich in vitamin A, C, iron and more, from the solanaceae family, the physalis is used more and more in jams, for accompaniments, the dressing of plates, sauces... a real delight!
