Banana

Ecuador is the leading banana export country in the world (+27.7% in 2019-2021). In my childhood and travel memories, this variety is called SEDA, "silk bananas". I love this small and very sweet fruit with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. South America is famous for its salty-sweet culinary mixes and the banana is very present in all forms (soups, chips, fried, desserts). It is a product rich in starch, important for the Ecuadorian diet and also very present in the vegetable garden of the cocoa producers.
